SAHR Military Fiction Prize Winner announced

Friday 30th October 2020

The Society is very pleased to announce that the winner of the 2019-2020 SAHR prize for Military Fiction is Richard Hopton for his debut novel The Straits of Treachery, published by Allison & Busby. The runner-up is Cauvery Madhavan for The Tainted, published by HopeRoad. Congratulations to both prize-winners, and to the other two shortlisted authors, Lynn Bryant and Robert Newcome. It was a very close judging decision this year and all four authors are to be commended for the level of research that clearly went into their work.

The prize is generously supported by the Malvern Festival of Military History; we hope to arrange a virtual awards ceremony in conjunction with them at a later date. Further details will be announced when finalised.
