SAHR stalwart Dr Adam Storring wins Corvisier Prize

Sunday 9th June 2019

The Society for Army Historical Research congratulates longtime SAHR Council member Dr Adam Storring on winning the 2019 Corvisier Prize for his recent Cambridge doctoral thesis, "Frederick the Great and the Meanings of War, 1730-1755".

Dr Storring, who has recently stepped down from his role as SAHR's Events Officer, was awarded the prestigious accolade by the International Commission of Military History. The ICMH's jurors heralded the importance of his research, predicting his thesis, "when published, will be a fundamental volume on the subject".

The Society is sorry to be losing Dr Storring's invaluable services on Council, but eagerly looks forward to his future work.

More information about the award can be found on the ICMH's website, while Dr Storring's dissertation is available to read online via the University of Cambridge's research repository.
