Statement on behalf of the Council of the Society for Army Historical Research upon the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
It is with great sadness that the Society notes the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Her Majesty’s deep wisdom, historic understanding, faith and sense of duty marked her reign. We extend our sympathies to King Charles III and the rest of the Royal Family and pledge our support as he takes on the mantle that his mother has so nobly carried throughout her extraordinary reign.
