Helion & Co. Warfare in the Victorian Age Conference

The Society for Army Historical Research is delighted to sponsor Helion & Company’s first Warfare in the Victorian Age conference, held at The Y Theatre, Leicester, from 10am to 6pm on Saturday 15th September 2018.
The conference will provide an opportunity for those interested in the military history of this period to come together to listen to new research and to some of the leading authorities on this era.
The morning session will feature presentations of new research from Dr Andrew Winrow, Amelia Clegg, Capt. Charles Aikenhead, Dr Edward Gosling, Sebastian Puncher and Nathan Kwan.
The afternoon session will feature four leading military historians who specialise in the study of the Victorian Era: Col Dr Mike Snook, Professor Stephen Badsey, Professor John Laband and Professor Ian Beckett.
Tickets are available to SAHR members at a discounted price of £20. This includes a buffet lunch and drinks, and a concluding drinks party. Tickets can be purchased online via the Helion website (www.helion.co.uk), or from the series editor Christopher Brice.
The Y Theatre is at 7 East Street, Leicester LE1 6EY. It is directly opposite Leicester Railway station, 10-15 minutes from Junction 21 of the M1 and Junction 3 of the M69. An NCP car park is to be found on East Street and a full day of parking is charged at £4.
