Dr Adam Storring MA (Cantab), MPhil, PhD

Adam Storring completed his PhD at St. John's College, Cambridge, under the supervision of Professor Sir Christopher Clark, on 'Frederick the Great and the Meanings of War, 1730-1755', looking at the military ideas of King Frederick II of Prussia as a young man.  He is currently expanding his dissertation it into a broader book on Frederick the Great's military ideas throughout his life.

His research has been funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, the Stiftung Preußischer Schlösser und Gärten, the Geheimes Staatsarchiv in Berlin, the Leibniz Institut für Europäische Geschichte, and the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst.

He completed his BA (2004) and MPhil (2007) also at St. John's College, Cambridge.

He previously worked in the Civil Service, including at the Department of Health, 2007-2010 (mostly in the Office for Strategic Coordination of Health Research) ,and the Department for Education, 2011-2013. He also spent seven months working as a volunteer for LEPRA India, a health charity based in Hyderabad, India.
